New Zealand, make popular by the movie: Lord of the Rings and ever since, this country is now commonly known as the Land of Hobbit. You can checked out on how to lower down cost when travelling to New Zealand on this post. However, for now, let’s take a look why you shouldn’t visit this country . . .
#1 Reason: Travelling on Air New Zealand flight is so “boring”
Flying on this short 1 hour journey (Queenstown to Auckland route) on board Air New Zealand, I was greeted by this unusual safety video found here . Laughs can be heard throughout the cabin before the aircraft prepare for take-off.
#2 Reason: Boring when flying across New Zealand Land
It was nothing but just snow covered mountain peaks… (Note: Put on your sunglasses if you intend to peek out the window aircraft) But anyway, there isn’t much to see except like what is shown in below picture which was taken when flying across Queenstown.
#3 Reason: It seems that Hobbitions is over-hyped here.
The setting where the movie was mainly filmed is right here at the town of Matamata, North Island of New Zealand. There isn’t much to see ya?
#4 Reason: All you see is just sheep, cows, sheep ,cows and more sheep along your road trip
Yes, beef and milk is cheaper here! There are more sheeps than humans in this country. White fluffy sheeps that makes one irresistible to stop the camper-van by the side to take some picture. These sheeps are so distracting along the way. . .
#5 Reason: Lake fishing activity only caught 3 salmon within 30 minutes
Yep, you got it because it was too “boring”, we wanted to try our hand in fishing for salmon at Lake Wakatipu at Queenstown. We only caught on 1 salmon every 10 minutes. We didn’t know how to handle the 3 freshly caught salmon, so we decided to slice it for Sashimi and cooked the remaining once we reached our motel.
#6 Reason: “Boring” Scenery in this New Zealand
There weren’t any nice pictures to take, so we just randomly took these along our road trip. Stop our camper-van by the side and just goes clicking our camera. No editing is needed simply what you see is what you get.
#7 Reason: Flowers not that “Colourful”
It was in Spring season when we visited back in end October. There are not many flowers blooming, isn’t it?
#8 Reason: Only adventure activities await one at Queenstown
Queenstown being named as the adventure capital of the world certainly live up to its name. There isn’t much things to do in this town so I could only engage in some adventure stuff…
Jumping off the birth of commercial Bungee Jumping where it got all started round the world craze. Presents you jumping @ Kawarau Bridge.
#9 Reason: Shotover Jet playing with our life
With such experienced and skillful boat drivers, having a hell fun time trying out this adventure. Seems like we are putting our life at risk with many close shaves with huge rocks at blistering speed.
#10 Reason: We eat, sleep, drive on our camper-van. It is the only valuable asset we have while on travelling across New Zealand…
Above are the 10 reasons why one shouldn’t waste time visiting New Zealand. Having said that, I do not know why I had wrote the below on my side mirror during the trip…
