Yes, we have often heard of popular well-loved travel destinations that seems to attract flock of tourists. Places like Milan, Paris, Bangkok, New York are marketed as the places to travel if you decide to go on a leisure break. No doubt these are cool cities to visit and I love to add some of these great cities to my travel journey. There are however, many other underrated towns/ cities that I think ought to have more attention. Here are some of the 5 most amazing places in 5 different continent that I had step foot on and think you should be heading on your next vacation if you have not done so.
OCEANIA REGION — Queenstown in New Zealand
There are simply so many adventurous stuff to do in New Zealand. Where can you combine scenery, adventure, one of the friendliest people on earth and heavenly freshest food in one town? The answer lies in Queenstown, located in the Southern Island of New Zealand. In fact, here is an open secret that if you manage to find a dark spot with a tinge of luck, one can even spot the Southern Lights here! If you are craving for adventure: activities like sky-diving, luge, jet boating (fast speed turbo boats that send you spinning at amazing crazy speed), bungy jump would certainly keep your adrenlaine in your body pumping throughout your stay in Queenstown. Let’s say if you look forward to a slower pace of life, how about trying your luck at fishing salmon in the central of Queesntown (Lake Wakatipu). It took me just 10 minutes to hook up a salmon and we eat it fresh just like that! For more information on visiting Canada, refer to link here.
AFRICA REGION — Chefchaouen in Morocco
Tucked high in Morocco’s Rif Mountains, the all-blue town of Chefchaouen is a glowing gem in the land of Morocco. Imagine surround yourself with streets after streets colour in blue, where every corner looks identical to each other yet at the same time, each corner give you an unexpected surprises as you discover and immerse yourself in this local village of Moroccan life. Watching how locals go about living high up the mountains while sipping coffee at the nearby cafe is a pleasure in its own way. For more information on visiting Morocco, refer to link here.
NORTH AMERICA REGION — Banff in Canada
Located in the state of British Columbia, Banff is a small town located in Canadian Rockies National Park region. The most popular international gateway to enter is via Vancouver. Most people would either take a round trip journey that depart from Vancouver or a one way journey from Vancouver to Calgary. Destinations that people would visit on this journey includes Lake Louise, Columbia ice field, Calgary, Jasper National Park and of course what caught my attention was Banff. Banff has some of the freshest air, stunning mountains, picturesque lakes in the world. For more information on visiting Canada, refer to link here.
ASIA — Lhasa in China
Tibet, a region often not visited by foreigners but for those who brave the rough journey, you will be rewarded. A fantastic experience of seeing first hand of how Tibetans are so strong in their faith and getting close to Mount Everest thru making a road trip across to the Everest Base Camp. EUROPE — Lake Ohrid in Macedonia
Enough said, one of the sparking and best town that is not known to the world. Welcome to Lake Ohrid in Macedonia. The pictures I took was not edited at all. Yet, it does not do any justice as seeing it in real life makes Lake Ohrid all the more splendid. This lakeside resort was not swamp with tourist. In fact, I enjoy the quietness strolling along the shore of this crystal clear lake overlooking Albania on the other side. For more information on visiting Macedonia, refer to link here.
