Looking for a short weekend getaway or a venue to celebrate this year Ramadan? Look no further than dinning at Berjaya Waterfront Hotel Johor Bahru . Just 5 minutes drive away from the main causeway linking Singapore, one can sample delicious mouth watering cuisine here. I just spent my weekend at the Johor Bahru property and it was definitely worth it with the price diners are paying.

The “Warisan Sajian Buffet” dinner commence daily from 6.30pm- 10pm taking place from 17 May – 13 June 2018. I was able to sample some traditional Malay recipes that is not easily found in other parts of Malaysia. I later learnt that indeed these dishes were actually handled down from some of the hotel chef mothers, making it much more authentic and giving it a homely taste! Here are the dishes strongly recommended to try: Soup Gear Box, Baked “Jenahak” fish, Kabsah. With over 200 varieties of food on offer, there is no way I could resist. The picture seen below is the first out of the many more rounds of serving I had together with my friends.
Soup gear box, cooking in the traditional way. A hit with the diners, grab it fast!
Kambing golek, simply delicious!
Seafood! Fresh mussels, prawns, crabs
Deserts time! Simply too much on offer!
I love the interior lightnings of the hotel, making it an even more comfortable ambience to catch up with loved ones over dinner. In additional, did I mentioned that there were performances on the stage which include us enjoying beautiful melodies of Islamic elements called “Nasyid” during our dinner… Simply eating together with our loved ones and friends makes it even more enjoyable!
