Genting Highlands Resort has now REVAMPED! Ready to take on the world with new shopping outlets, famous F&B outlets, Twentieth Century Fox World Theme Park and many more! Known for the chilly weather of between 15- 22 Degree Celsius, this hilltop resort located in Malaysia is often seen as the getaway spot for families living in the tropical South East Asia region. To find out more on Genting Highlands, I have wrote a blog post on it at this link 2 years back.
That was the time when Genting was deemed as outdated, boring with the lack of new entertainment outlets, run down facilities and rooms was not attractive enough to compete with the various new tourist theme parks that has popped up within recent years .
Holding the Guinness World Record of World Largest Hotel, you will suprise to know a new wing known as Tower 3 has now been added to it.
The new tower lobby are now furnished with wall murals adding an artistic touch to it.There is even a cafe offering holiday makers to admire the scenery while having a quick breakkie.
Rooms are much brighter now and with toilet and shower area on 2 different side. The rooms used to be dimly lit and poorly maintained. Now, the new Genting First World Hotel seems to have awake from its senses and welcomes visitors with renewed look.
What’s more important for today traveller is the access of free WIFI. You got what you wanted with fast reliable internet access in your rooms which was never the case in the past at Genting Highlands.
What’s more? There are more reasons to come Genting now with famous and delicious F&B outlets popping out. Branded shopping outlets selling from sporty brands to well known brand internationally can now be found at one new shopping belt known as the Sky Avenue. The interior of the shopping belt is equally stunning too, giving shoppers a brand new magicial 3D feeling.
Beside satisfying your food cravings and shopping addict, one can look forward to new cable cars that brings one up from the newly build bus terminal at the base to the top of the mountain peak where all the entertainments are located. Easy and fast access!
The star attraction: Twentieth Century Fox World Theme Park have delayed completion and now is scheduled to open in end of Year 2017. Don’t expect much though judging from the state of construction presently (JAN 2017).
Other than the newly added entertainment outlets, there is still the ever green indoor acrade funfair games to keep one occupied. Night bowling which starts at 6.30pm is another good option to indulge in some sports.
Once completed, you can imagine the buzz and excitement Genting Highlands will be creating and till then, rooms prices are bound to increase. So the best way to avoid the crowds and yet enjoy brand new facilities less the theme park is to visit Genting now!
