Itinerary: 5 Days in Mexico

Here is the suggested itinerary if you are short of time, only 5 days to travel in Mexico. You may refer to my link here on 10 Must-do Things in Mexico.

Day 1: 

1515H: Arrive Mexico city
1700H: Arrive hotel
1800H: Visit Zocalo: Main Square   [If not enough time, do on Day 03]
– Templo Mayor (Main Temple of the Aztecs)
– Metropolitan Cathedral
– Palacio Nacional (Palacio de Bellas)

Day 2: 

1000H: Depart hotel ; Visit Lake Xochimilco
1130H: Arrive Lake Xochimilco, visit Island of the Dolls
1500H: Leave Lake Xochimilco – Mexico city
1600H: Arrive Mexico city
1800H: Mexico City’s favorite sporting events—wrestling matches known as lucha libre

Day 3: 

0700H: Visit Teotihuacan Ruins (Do not go on Sun as it will be crowded as is free to Mexicans)
Head to Bus Terminal del Norte (North Terminal), Gate 8
1000H: Arrive Teotihuacan Ruins
1500H: Depart Teotihuacan Ruins
1700H: Arrive back to Mexico city
1800H: Centro Historico and Chapultepec Park
– Palacio Bellas Artes
– Parque Alameda Central
– Barrio Chino (Chinatown)
– Torre Latinoamericana (Latin American Tower)

Day 4: 

0640H: To arrive Mexico city airport
0800H: Fly Mexico city- Cancun (Viva Aerobus is one of the option for Domestic Flight)
1015H: Arrive Cancun , check into hotel

1300H: Explore Isla Mujeres Island , lunch
1700H: Explore Beach, resort area
1800H: Head to Mercado 28 (Mexican souvenirs bazzar), dinner

Day 5: 

Take organised tour:
0800H Day Trip to Chichen Itza and Valladolid from Cancun with Cenote Swim and Lunch

1700H: Back to Hotel , Free & Easy around Cancun. Explore the town of Cancun where you can do last minute shopping for souvenirs.
