Below is the list of places to go in different period of the year. Most countries do experience certain peak period where prices for accomodation, tours could result in high prices. If you are looking for some savings on your wallet, you may like to travel during lull period. Lull period mean there are not many people travelling to the certain destination most likely due to extreme weather conditions like Typhoon, Monsoon rain.
The key to enjoy both savings and good travel conditions would be to travel during shoulder season. Prices falls during this period with not many tourists jostling with you and at the same time one can bask in good weather conditions.
January — Golden Rock, Myanmar
If you are looking to escape Chinese New Year which falls in late Janurary 2017, then visiting Myanmar would be the best choice. Yangon experience one of the best weather, hovering around 20 Degree Celesius during December – February period. Not far away from Yangon, just 3 hours ride away lies Golden Rock, a mysterious sight that left one pondering… As majority of them are not Chinese unless you are in Mandalay, shops and attractions are still open unlike those countries that celebrate Chinese New Year.

March– Bohol, Philippines
One of the hidden treasure in Philippines, lies Bohol just an hour boat ride from Cebu. With the highlight being the chocolate hills, there is simply so many more things to discover on this island! Nature, weird but cute creatures like the Tarsier (one of the smallest living primates in the world) lives here! With crystal clear water and not many people during the month of March, coupled with sunny weather conditions and cheaper accomodation due to shoulder peak season, this is an ideal time to visit and discover the beauty of Bohol Island!

April– Bali, Indonesia
Bali does not need more introduction. A true paradise that caters to all ages, one of the most widely visited island in the world. Full of adventures from water sports to trekking in the wild, there is something for everyone!
The best time to visit is in April as it is considered the start of the dry season which mean less rainy days, allowing you to bask in the beauty of its water. Enjoy the sunshine and at the same time, is not that peak!

May — Tioman Island, Malaysia
Located in the South China Sea, next to Peninsula Malaysia, lies a beautiful island blessed with coral reefs, good diving sites, abundant sea creatures. Tioman Island have seasonal charms and is most suitable to visit in May due to the warm temperature that allows one to enjoy the sun, sand & sea. The peak season is in June & July esspeically with the influx of both domestic and tourists from nearby Singapore due to school holidays. In fact, most of the ferry services to the island & resorts cease operations between November to February due to heavy monsoon rain.

June– Almaty, Kazakhstan
The world 9th largest country in the world, Kazakhstan is a country with stunning absoloutely nature beauty. The city of Almaty is often the choosen destination to go as there are some nice places to explore. I had visited the Charyn Canyon, 200km east of Almaty which can be very beautiful and had pratically the whole place to myself~~

July– Istanbul, Turkey

August– Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
No doubt, the peak period of travel in Mongolia is in July, where the nation celebrate the Naadam Festival and that would be a good time to visit the country witnessing the festival. However, room rates & tours are often fully booked and expensive. Thus, the best time maybe to visit after the festival with the weather being at its best state and so much cheaper. It’s summer time in August, with grassland being at its healthest state making it ideal for capturing the best of what Mongolia can offer.
Sleep with the locals and experience the local nomadic lifestyle. I bet you will be coming home “richer” in terms of spiritually.

September– Pokhara, Nepal
Known for trekking, snow capped moutains, the best time to go is in September. The monsoon season just ended in late August which mean the sky is getting clearer with winter about to set in soon. Less rain, more chances of experiencing blue sky, birds flying back to enjoy the crisp air and tourists have not arrive for the climbing season which is usually in November/ December.

October– Queenstown, New Zealand
October being the spring season in New Zealand, the average temperatures of between 17 and 21°C means it is the perfect time to visit blessed with wild flowers blooming and sunny weather.
Known as the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown never fails to disappoint with the range of activities from Bungy Jumping, Sky-diving, Water Rafting, Jetboat rides at amazing speed, etc. If you are not into adventure, rest assure you will be amazed with the scenery with mountains and lakes in Milford South, just a day tour from Queenstown.

November — Alishan, Taiwan
The best time to visit Taiwan would be in November when the climate starts to turns chilly. Days are mostly sunny with pleasant weather and little rain. After all, the typhoon season is over.
One of the recommended places would be the peace and tranquillity one can find in Alishan mountains. It was nice watching sunrise, with what the local termed it as 雲海 , sea of clouds (directly translated). You gotta to be there to experience it! All I did was open up my window and I could view it from the comfort of my bed. . .

December– Kashmir, India
Protrayed as colourful India, the streets in New Delhi lived up to the expectation. The heat was unbearable when I was there during the summer month. Not many people would assoicate snow with India. However, I was pleasantly taken by surpise when I was in Kashmir, staying on board the Dal Lake surrounded by snow capped mountains. Everyday when I was there is like waking up to a poster. . . You gotta escape from the crowd during this peak season of travel and what better way than to spend it in Kasmir region, India!
